Hey guys, I have an extra copy of the Slayers novel 3 (original Japanese version) for sale. I figured everyone knew what it looked like so no point in breaking out the camera.
It's $7.50 and $3 S&H (without insurance) in the US. If you live outside, lemme know cus I'll have to calculate S&H for you.

Anime News Network posted a confirmation that Slayers Revolution will have a grand total of 26 episodes.
The article:
The October issue (on sale on September 9) of Fujimi Shobo's Monthly Dragon Age magazine will announce that a new television anime series for The Slayers franchise has been officially green-lit. Hajime Kanzaka, the author of the original Slayers light novels, had already indicated that the ongoing Slayers Revolution television anime series was conceived as the first part of a storyline that will last half a year (with a break in between). However, the Dragon Age announcement will be the first public, official confirmation that the second part of the storyline is in production. More details will be provided in the November issue of Fujimi's Monthly Dragon Magazine, which goes on sale on September 20.
Despite the confusing wording of this announcement, I'm pretty sure that there's just going to be 26 episodes as originally announced.
Hajime Kanzaka, the author of the original Slayers light novels, had already indicated that the ongoing Slayers Revolution television anime series was conceived as the first part of a storyline that will last half a year (with a break in between). - Referring to episodes 1-13 here. This is part one.
However, the Dragon Age announcement will be the first public, official confirmation that the second part of the storyline is in production. - Being episodes 14-26. The storyline as a whole will be half a year's length (26 episodes), but broken into two parts as planned.

Hello all!
I never really looked until now to find the Junjou fansite here on LJ, but finally I actually got my butt in gear. :)
I'd like to say that I have an AMV to show everyone here.
This has been posted on YouTube for a bit, but I don't think that it has been circulated enough yet.

I changed the pitch of the song so that it sounds more... manly.

Does anyone know if there are passable/good translations of the Slayers light novels 9-15 floating around somewhere? I've seen summaries in various places, but that's not enough to satisfy me, yanno? Anyone got any clues? *growls in Tokyopop's general direction*

I do not know why the same did so without warning. They've deleted because of a mini-AMV of "Maou" drama. And ONLY for that. Omg, part 2 is here already?! Yup. This batch covers the next 18 pages. The next one probably won't come so fast as I really gotta study x_x;;
I provided some samples this time :O preview a few pics and then download?
Just gimme the second part already! - based on the comments on part 1, most people prefer the cleaned versions, so I didn't bother uploading the uncleaned scans this time. This batch is sized to 1200x1750, so bigger than yesterday's batch.

Just spent the whole afternoon scanning and editing this artbook. Part 1 includes the cover plus the first 18 pages. I'm offering two different versions.
Version 1 - Scanned pages sized at height = 1000px, not cleaned, spreads not merged, no watermarks

Many of you may remember the infamous horse-riding episode of NaiPani where the guys got to ride around and do fun stuff on horses (and embarrass themselves for our amusement ♥). What you may not know, though, is that Creer Horse Farm, where it was filmed, is a real place where anyone can go horse-back riding for a small fee!
You can view their official website here -- be aware, though, that it's all in Japanese.
Yup, they'll let anyone come on for a 90 minute (or more) session, which includes walking down to the beach and a fun romp through the water while riding your horse.
How do I know this? Because lavenderlilly, her sister, and I all went and did it!!
We all dragged ourselves out of bed at the buttcrack of dawn to get down to Miura Beach, but boy was it worth it! Check out a short report with some pictures here! (complete with a shot comparison so you can see where *pnish* was that we were also :D)
And to make it an even sweeter deal...they only have 4 horses. So that means that yes, if you go, you WILL ride one of the horses the guys rode! On our trip, I rode Sakura (Daiki's), lavenderlilly rode Lucy (Eiji's), and her sister rode Gorou (Tuti's)♥
If anyone is ever in Japan and wants to do this, they accept reservations year round. Reservations can be made by phone, fax, or email (available on their site) and should be made as far in advance as possible (though usually as long as it's a few days it's okay; they have a calendar detailing days that are open for reservations).
Worried you won't speak good enough Japanese? They can handle English as well! A super young woman named Eileen (who's on facebook!) works there -- she's half-American, half-Japanese, but grew up in Japan, so speaks English mostly as a second language, but is plenty fluent ^___^ AFAIK she's there year round and comes along on all the rides to help foreigners (and they do get many foreign guests).
SO! Go check it out! If anyone's in Japan and really wants to do this, contact me and I'll be glad to help get you set up ^____^ It costs about 10,000yen per person (~$100 US), but is well worth it!

I have just seen this on the news and as I much love reading a book I am still liking this!
Its really handy thing to have I think as it sooo freeze up space in your home so you dont have a HUGE pile of books everywhere lol
It be handy if I could get hold of Japanese books though to go on the eReader as then I would be in heaven lol
Although what about the books that have illustrations?? Wont something like that affect them? Then again maybe not as they could just create a digital file for the Cover and that.
Im sooooo tempted to buy one, maybe I will come pay day then again its £199 >_< GAH It looks so nice though.... Maybe I will get one ina few months after pay day and once Ive paid for my Japanese class.

MY copy of LEGEND (2) came today!!
Was glad to read the rest of SED and Falces Hourglass..... was good actually!
Also along with it I boought Slayers SMASH and Slayers SPECIAL.....
Have not read them yet but I had a flick through SELECT and its basicly like the OVA's with the same name haha
I forgot who but someone told me on here there are going to be 7 SELECT novels overall? So all 7 novels will contain chapters picked out from SPECIAL right?? lol
So is it worth me trying to collect all of 30 books of SPECIAL?? probably not if they are choosing best ones to put into Slayers: SELECT Novels.
Im looking forward to reading SMASH though looks good. Then again I havent even really read the full 15 Slayers novels yet lol Not properly anyway, as my Japanese level still aint that great, I can understand a little of whats going on but there is still grammer and words I dont know yet >_<

I recently lost everything on my hard drive, including all of my image files. Does anyone have any good links for Black Blood Brothers scans, or know of any where I can find a large collection of scans in one place? I am desperate to re-build my collection! Thanks in advance for any help. :D
